About this guide
Privacy
No trackers, no analytics and no accounts: what this site does and does not collect when you read it or write to the editors.
Gentle Grade is a reading site, and it is built to know as little about you as possible.
What the site collects
The site itself collects nothing. It has no analytics, no advertising scripts, no social media widgets and no accounts. It sets no cookies, and it stores nothing in your browser.
Fonts and hosting
The pages load typefaces from Google Fonts, so your browser contacts that service to download them. The site is served from a static hosting provider, which, like any web host, may keep ordinary server logs such as the address of a request and the time. The editors do not use those logs to identify readers.
Writing to the editors
The contact form does not send data to a server. It opens your own email program with a message addressed to the editors. If you send it, the editors see what you wrote and your email address, and use them only to answer you or to correct a page. Please do not include medical details. The editors cannot give personal advice and will not keep your message longer than needed.
Links to other sites
Pages cite public sources on other sites. Those sites have their own privacy practices, which the editors do not control.
The short version
Reading the site leaves no account and no tracker behind. Email is the only route by which the editors learn anything about you, and only if you choose to write.
